I first watched Third Star a couple of weeks back, having never, ever heard mention of it before, for reasons of Tom Burke. Nothing to do with Sherlock, nothing to do with Benedict’s fandom (although partly because he was in it with Tom and I wanted to see them work together because of the whole Sebastian Moran Thing).

The film itself came out months ago on DVD and months before that in cinemas.

And yet, after I saw it, suddenly, that film is EVERYWHERE. EVERYWHERE!

And it amazing and it hurts and now I want there to be some kind of proper Thing to celebrate it and share it and make people aware that they have a moral obligation to watch it because of Tom Burke and how precious Davy is.

I wish we could get it back in cinemas or something, with proper publicity… Q&As! More intelligent articles that aren’t just, “BTW, Sherlock plays some dude who is dying but did we mention he’s Sherlock? Because I hear he’s also Sherlock when he’s not being Sherlock.”

I love the love that this film is getting (even if I wish the love was more evenly shared between the wooblets)! I would also love it if more people would write fanfic, because I mean, I’m working on one, but I would like some to read, too. Please.
